H.E.Bates Short Story Competition

 

   

 

 

We are pleased to announce the results

of the 2020/2021 competition:

 

First prize   Amanda Huggins  'In The Time It Takes To Make A Risotto'

Second prize  Paul Barnett  'Rescued'

Third prize  Peter Hankins  'Saudade'

 

Sadly, none of the entries from Northamptonshire writers managed to make the shortlist, so we are unable to award the Northamptonshire prize this year.

 

     

 

 

 

 

 

 

This competition, inspired by the Northamptonshire born master of short stories, H.E.Bates, was first launched in 2005, his centennial year.
